East Asia Conflicts

Intro: There are many issues that affected easterly Asia from 1920 through the 21st century. Three of these issues are the Spread of socialism, take off of Dictators and Nuclear Weapons. These issues affected the countries involved in many ways. whizz of the most significant issues facing East Asia was the Spread of collectivism. The establishment controls everything.Cambodia- In 1975 the Khmer Rouge took over the capital city of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The Khmer Rouge were people who supported a commie commandment. The Khmer Rouge set up a commie government that was led by the Pol Pot. In their flack to turn Cambodia into a Communist res publica they killed over 2 million people by working them to death, starvation or just slaughtering hundreds of people at a time in a killing field. They also attempted to rid the orbit of western practices. China- Mao Zedong took over China and turned them into a communist country before WWII, and he completely took over the country following the defeat of the Nationalist party in a Chinese civil war.
